No More Dancin' to the Oldies...
Twirl Time's Competition Dance teams are out for victory! Our excellent instructors put us at the top of our division year after year. Contemporary music and Hip Hop moves are fun and rewarding. Especially when combined with a flashy set of pom poms. Teams attend 2-3 competitions a year and will perform at Twirl Time's end of year recital. Dancers get their own special uniforms to set them apart from other classes; with a look that completes the edgy style of the dances. Routines are choreographed and instructed by the talented Elaine Russell!

Twirling at Its Best...
Competition Baton Teams have had a place at Twirl Time Baton and Dance from the very beginning. Both instructors, Michelle and Erin, competed on Twirl Time's first competition team and enjoyed every second of it. Stunning tricks and group tosses make the routines fun and challenging. Girls will compete in 3 or more competitions beginning in February. The choreographer for each team develops a theme for the music, costumes, and props. This creates a dynamic performance that is as exciting to watch. Competition teams tend to be a little more serious than regular baton classes, but all the extra work is worth it. It is very rewarding to receive recognition for all of your efforts.

The heart of competition twirling...
Baton twirlers don't always have to perform in a group. Students can learn Solos, Strutting Routines, Marching, Modeling, and Show twirls to be judged on their abilities alone. This is probably the best way for twirlers to become more advanced. Skills like rolls can best showcased in an individual setting. Girls also get the experience of being rewarded for their hard work and long hours of practice. Students can compete for titles like Miss Majorette of Georgia and even go to National Competitions. Many of Twirl Time's instructors have competed individually and found it to be very rewarding.
Not just for twirlers...
Dancers can also learn individual routines to perform and be judged on. Any style that a dancer would choose could be performed at a competition and be eligible for titles and trophies. Twirl Time encourages all of its students to take their skills the the next level. And there is no better way than through individual competition.
