In the beginning...

Twirl Time Baton and Dance Company was founded in 1994 by former UGA Majorette Captain, Terri Roland. Classes began in the after school program of the school she worked at, Oak Grove Elementary. The classes quickly gained popularity and added dozens of students. Students were often seen performing at basketball games, football games, parades, and local festivals. Shortly after opening the baton and dance school, Terri added a competition baton team that featured her most talented twirlers.

In recent years...

Because of Terri's excellent instruction and genuine compasion for her students, the girls excelled in both baton and dance. Five of Twirl Time Baton and Dance's students have gone on to perform at college levels. Some have even received scholarships for their participation in the sport of twirling.

Two of Terri's students have made it their goal to "pass the baton" to the next generation. Michelle Beckmann and Erin Weakland have twirled together for 11 years and now have the honor of teaching young girls the sport that they love so much.
